You’ve heard it’s been said, that Time = $, and $ = Time.
While true in some ways, research reveals something more complex. Those with lots of $ agree, Time is the real marker of wealth and $ is but a means to access greater Time in their lives.
Further, when people whom are nearing the end of their lives are asked what they would have done differently, almost all agree they wished they had freed up more Time in their lives, specifically by spending less Time working for $.
Clearly, no one should believe any of this means $ isn’t important or necessary, because it is. Rather I believe it’s about discovering the optimal amount of our life we should be spending on any endeavor, including those connected to $.
So while Time does = $ in some way, a more accurate, effective and comprehensive way to state it would be Time = our Life.
Years/Months/Weeks/Days/Hours/Minutes/Seconds/ Moments…
When we are born, the official time is proclaimed and marked on our certificate. The same when we pass on. Birthdays and holidays are sacred celebrations of passing Time.
We are each of us, only given a limited amount of Time. If we are lucky and quite fortunate, the moments that make up our lives will pass by many times over and over again. Thus without a doubt, I believe our lives, yours and mine, is the most precious treasure we will ever hold, and all the more so because our Time is finite.

We each have a choice about how we wish to spend our limited allotted time that is our Life.
Yet sometimes, waiting with intention and clarity is the wisest thing one can do. Waiting done in this way is a type of action. Just as motion or moving around is not necessarily taking action, waiting done intentionally is a type of action. However, let’s be clear, this is only true maybe 3% of the time.
Because we human animals are complex beings, waiting/procrastinating is usually the absolute worst thing we can do, especially if what we are doing is trying to avoid the discomfort or pain of taking action. It gets complicated because, like with the Tax Debt Conundrum, which you can read more about here, the problem lies within. Meaning a better view or perspective would help us see our problems more clearly.
The passing moments that make up our lives come and go whether we are fully aware of it or not. Recognizing that each passing moment means one moment less that remains for us, is not death focused. Instead, seeing our limited Time clearly is another step towards being more fully alive. Being more present to the flowing momentum of our lives allows us the space to be life affirming and more life vivifying. Thus the real question becomes: What Are You Doing With Your Time/Your Life?
I ask myself this question too.
It was a hard year for all of us, though harder for some than others. If you have a tax problem, know that Once A Generation Is Still Here and you can read more about it. Sadly, we even lost some clients to Covid-19. So it is to honor them that we continue on with our mission: to help as many people as possible get beyond their tax problem.
Personally for us, we had many exciting things on deck for Integral Tax Solutions, Inc. and this website just before the pandemic shut everything down. Unfortunately, the timing didn’t work and that will have to continue to be delayed, hopefully for only a short period longer.
Our main goal has always been to make a difference, to help those that want our help and we are excited about the future. So this space remains for us to be open and vibrant, and the time for waiting has passed. Thus I choose to take action, in the hope that somehow we may all benefit, and to turn one day into day one of whatever we’ve been holding back in our lives.
May this be our best year ever, both yours and mine.
